The local Dachshund Rescue suffered a tragic loss through a home fire. They lost 7 of their precious dogs to the fire but were able to save 16 others. They needed help housing the dogs so SHS stepped up and said we would help. They brought the little Dachshunds to us to care for.

Four of the little ones were available for adoption and the waiting list of adopters was long. SHS adopted out all four of them to wonderful new homes and we are so glad to be able to help!
