Give
time:
The Spokane Humane Society is looking for someone that is experienced in gardening and would like to volunteer to work at the shelter planting and cleaning up what is here! We would love to have a club if there is a garden club who has extra time and energy to give to us. The nicer our place looks, the more people will stop in, the more animals that are adopted and saved!
Please call 995-4542 for more information regarding our needs. Thank you so much for considering us!
The Spokane Humane Society is overseen by a board of 12 directors
that meets monthly. If you're an SHS member, you are eligible
for nomination.
You
could also serve on one of our event committees: Tux &
Tails (a black tie dinner and auction), Parade of Paws (a
dog walk fundraiser), or a variety of other social projects
designed to support our mission. And we're always working
on all kinds of projects beautifying the grounds, developing
the memorial garden, taking pets out into the community, educating
children about animals, and lots more. Whatever your interests,
we've got just the job for you. Contact our outreach coordinator,
Dori Peck at (509) 467-5235 ext. 11 or dpeck@spokanehumanesociety.org
to learn more.
Give
money:
Become a member
We're always delighted to sign up new members. Through our
membership we gather a body of confirmed supporters who help
us take care of the critters with their annual dues and their
votes at our April membership meeting. Members also get some
nice perks, like the newsletter and special adoption privileges.

Give
yourself a lifetime income
You can supplement your income and receive an immediate charitable
tax deduction by completing a charitable gift annuity with
the Spokane Humane Society. This is a very satisfying way
to help the Humane Society end animal neglect. Call Dean Thoreson,
financial representative, at (509) 534-4766, ext 25, for more information.
His email address is dthoreson@foresters.biz.
Give
at the office
Consider supporting the Spokane Humane Society through an
automatic payroll deduction system you set up at your office.
It's easy, convenient, and particularly effective with those
generous employers who match their employee gifts.
To
enroll, see your human resource or payroll department.
Give
a home:
Everything we do is meant to accomplish one goal: give all
the animals that come to us a forever home. Meet our pets
and see if one is right for you and your family.
