Membership Details

Here are some important details about membership.

Renewal dates
All membership renewals take place in either August or February, at least 12 months after your payment. We will notify you as your renewal date nears.

Newsletter
As a member, you receive our quarterly newsletter. On the membership form you can choose the newsletter format you wish: through the mail or online. The newsletter will keep you up-to-date on how you are helping the animals with your membership.

Annual meeting and voting
Your membership entitles you to attend our annual meeting held in April. Attending the meeting gives you an opportunity to vote on candidates to replace the four outgoing board members. And, depending on the meeting's agenda, you may also vote on other issues as well.

When it comes to voting, we use a one-membership, one-vote system. What that means is voting can only be done by the person whose name is on the membership. But it's fine if someone else in your household would also like to vote. Just fill out all the information on another membership form (including the membership level) and submit it to us.

Privacy
Your privacy is something we take very seriously so we never share, rent, or sell our membership list. Any and all information you give is kept confidential. Another measure we take to protect your privacy is trying to limit mailings throughout the year while still keeping you up-to-date about shelter news and events.
